Be remembered with a gift
There comes a time when we need to think about writing a Will to ensure that our legacy is distributed according to our wishes. Of course, your loved ones come first, but if you do have the means to remember the disadvantaged children of Pakistan in your Will, we can assure you that it will be one gift that will never be forgotten.
There are several ways in which you can leave a gift to the Friends of The Citizens Foundation. These include:
- Residuary gift
This is the remainder or a percentage of your estate after all other gifts and expenses have been deducted. This ensures that your family and loved ones are cared for first, and that what is left over can then be donated to charity.
- Pecuniary gift
This is a gift of a specific amount of money, for example £5,000. You might suggest to your solicitor or Will-writer that your cash gift is index-linked to ensure that its relative value is maintained over time.
- Specific gift
This is the gift of a specific item such as property, jewellery or other valuables.
Why is it so important to make a Will?
Many people think that if they pass away without making a Will their estate will automatically go to their partner or next of kin. However, without making a Will it is possible that your entire estate could go to the Crown. Making a Will is the only way for you to plan how to take care of family, friends and even support your chosen charities after your death.
If you would like to leave a gift for FTCF in your Will, we will be happy to discuss this with you further. You can call us on 0845 230 1947 or click here to email us.
