Ahsan Saleem’s visit to the UK

In July, founding TCF Trustee Ahsan Saleem provided an update on the school network to FTCF supporters in London and Newcastle. He discussed TCF’s superb matriculation results and the success of star TCF graduates entering Karachi’s leading business school, CBM (College of Business Management) and world renowned Fatima Jinnah Medical College.

The sky is the limit for TCF students as 73% of graduates joined college this year! To encourage the pursuit of higher education, Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan’s largest International Bank) has also offered 1000 scholarships to TCF students under the Intermediate College Placement program. With so much on offer, TCF students are determinedly realising their potential, dreams and ambitions!

Ahsan went on to enlighten the audience with news of TCF’s new and hard impacting community initiatives - the Adult Literacy and Vocational Training Programs providing invaluable skills to older children in the slums and villages where TCF schools are built.

Guests in London and Newcastle were left inspired by the new success stories emerging from TCF and the rapid pace at which TCF continues to expand. One key point Ahsan emphasised was the growing need to finance ‘orphan’ schools i.e. schools that are no longer supported by the original build donor. Hence, in order to maintain the same level of educational excellence across all 600 schools, TCF and FTCF remain unwaveringly committed to raise funds to support existing TCF schools and provide a quality education throughout.
